Sep 16 2017 - James Town to Flaming Gorge

Today we are heading down the west side of the lake towards a camp site at the southern end.
The geography at the North end is not terribly exciting compared to what follows - but we enthusiastically photo it anyway.

The southern end of the lake - getting more interesting

The is a great side loop called "Sheep Creek Geological loop" - its only 13 miles long but there are view everywhere.

Then for our first glimpe of the gorge proper.  Magical.  We will come back and do more tomorrow for sure.

The view from our kitchen.
